Flea Markets & Pop-up Bazaars in Hyderabad

4 events matching right now across Hyderabad — mostly food (2), expo (1), dance (1). 2 are free.

Hyderabad's flea markets and pop-up bazaars run mostly at weekends from October to February, when organisers take over mall plazas, hotel halls, café courtyards and convention lawns with stalls of clothing, jewellery, home decor, plants, art and food. The events below are refreshed daily. Several fixtures are worth knowing. Shilparamam in Madhapur is a permanent crafts village where artisans sell handlooms, Bidriware and Kondapalli toys, and it adds seasonal craft melas. Lamakaan in Banjara Hills hosts a free Sunday organic bazaar. From 1 January to 15 February, Numaish at the Exhibition Grounds in Nampally becomes the biggest market in the state, with more than a thousand stalls. Lifestyle and designer exhibitions-cum-sales cycle through hotels in Banjara Hills and Begumpet and through HICC before every festival. For everyday bargains there are the old bazaars: Laad Bazaar by Charminar for lac bangles, Begum Bazaar for wholesale goods and dry fruits, General Bazaar in Secunderabad for textiles, and the Sunday second-hand book sellers on the pavements of Abids. Most pop-ups are free or charge a small entry fee, and nearly all stalls take UPI.

Good to know

  • Go early for one-off pieces; the best stalls thin out by late afternoon.
  • Carry a tote bag and some cash alongside UPI for the smaller stalls and the old bazaars.
  • Bargaining is expected at Laad Bazaar, Begum Bazaar and Numaish, less so at curated pop-ups.
  • Begum Bazaar's wholesale shops are closed on Sundays; go on a weekday for dry fruits and household goods.
  • Check entry fees and parking on each listing; hotel exhibitions are usually free to enter.
