Dance Performances & Classes in Hyderabad

Hyderabad is a Kuchipudi city first. The classical form of the Telugu states is performed week after week at Ravindra Bharathi, alongside Bharatanatyam, Kathak and Perini, the vigorous dance tradition revived in Telangana, and arangetrams by students of the city's many gurus. Shilparamam in Madhapur programmes folk and classical recitals on weekend evenings, and Taramati Baradari near Golconda hosts dance festivals in winter. Festival season changes the mood: in October women dance in circles around flower stacks for Bathukamma, and ticketed dandiya and garba nights run for nine evenings at garden venues in Secunderabad, Kompally and the IT corridor. For social dancing, studios in Jubilee Hills, Madhapur and Gachibowli hold salsa, bachata and swing socials and drop-in workshops. Listings below are refreshed daily.
