Heritage Walks & History Events in Hyderabad

Nothing is listed for coming up yet โ€” new events are added every morning, so check back soon.

Hyderabad's history is easy to walk. The Old City packs Charminar, built in 1591, Mecca Masjid, Laad Bazaar and Chowmahalla Palace, the seat of the Nizams, into about a kilometre, and the Salar Jung Museum is a short auto ride away. West of the city, Golconda Fort and the Qutb Shahi Tombs tell the story of the kingdom that came before, and the fort's sound and light show runs each evening. Secunderabad has its cantonment churches and clock tower, and Rashtrapati Nilayam in Bolarum, built in 1860, has been open to visitors since 2023. Historians and walking groups lead tours on weekend mornings from October to February, and night walks around Charminar in Ramzan. Chowmahalla and the Salar Jung Museum close on Fridays.
