Things to do in Lakdikapul & Saifabad

Lakdikapul and Saifabad, beside the Telangana Secretariat and the Assembly, are the heart of Hyderabad's state-run cultural life. Ravindra Bharathi, the auditorium opened in 1961 and named after Rabindranath Tagore, hosts Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam recitals, Telugu theatre, award functions and literary meets nearly every evening, many with free entry. On the hill above, the B.M. Birla Science Centre has a planetarium, a science museum, a dinosaur gallery and a space museum, and the marble Birla Mandir next to it is one of the best sunset viewpoints over Hussain Sagar. Lakdikapul and Assembly stations on the Red Line are both within walking distance.
