Things to do in Film Nagar

Film Nagar, on the slope between Jubilee Hills and Shaikpet, is the home of the Telugu film industry's studios, dubbing theatres and production offices. For event-goers it matters for two things. Film launches, audio functions and pre-release events are held in its convention halls, and they draw big crowds whenever a star is expected. The neighbourhood also has a cluster of independent cafés that work as performance rooms, the best known being Aaromale, which programmes stand-up comedy, open mics, acoustic gigs and screenings through the week. There is no metro station here; take an auto from Jubilee Hills Check Post on the Blue Line.
