Marathons & Running Events in Hyderabad

Running events in Hyderabad are listed below, from the city marathon to weekend 5Ks, and the list is refreshed daily. The headline race is the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon, held in late August, usually on the last Sunday of the month. Its 15th edition took place on 29 and 30 August 2026, with a 5K on the Saturday and the full marathon, half marathon and 10K on the Sunday, and organisers expected more than 32,000 runners. The full and half marathons start at People's Plaza on Necklace Road, beside Hussain Sagar, and finish at the G.M.C. Balayogi Athletic Stadium in Gachibowli, a point-to-point course with flyovers and rolling climbs that make it one of the tougher city marathons in India. The full marathon set off at 4:35 am. Airtel was title sponsor for more than a decade before NMDC took over in 2022. The date for the 2027 edition had not been announced when this page was written. Outside August, charity runs, corporate 10Ks, night runs and trail events fill the calendar from October to February, mostly on Necklace Road, at Gachibowli and around the HITEX grounds.
