Indoor Things to Do in Hyderabad

When Hyderabad's weather pushes you inside, the events below are indoor picks, refreshed daily. Two seasons do most of the pushing: April and May, when afternoon temperatures climb to around 40°C, and the monsoon from June to September, when evening downpours flood underpasses and stall traffic. Theatre and comedy are the easy answers. Ravindra Bharathi at Lakdikapul hosts dance, music and Telugu plays most evenings, Rangbhoomi Spaces in Gachibowli has a 150-seat stage, Lamakaan in Banjara Hills runs plays and screenings from Tuesday to Sunday, and stand-up rooms in Gachibowli, Jubilee Hills and Film Nagar programme shows through the week. For daytime, the Salar Jung Museum is open from 10 am to 6 pm except on Fridays, the B.M. Birla Science Centre has a planetarium and museums, and galleries such as Kalakriti in Banjara Hills are free to enter. Hands-on workshops, from pottery and resin art to baking, run in studios across Madhapur, Jubilee Hills and Kondapur, and T-Hub hosts tech talks. The big malls add cinemas, gaming zones and children's activities. This page lists indoor theatre, comedy, workshops, exhibitions, screenings and literary events across Hyderabad.
