About Tabula Rasa
Tabula Rasa is an open-air bar in Jubilee Hills that was founded in 2017 by Shravan Juvvadi and Ajay Mallareddy with the stated aim of supporting Hyderabad's independent music scene. It has stuck to that brief. The stage books blues, jazz and acoustic folk, classic rock, indie pop, Telugu folk and metal, with DJ-led techno and electronica on club nights. Regular formats include the Sunday Playground open jam, where musicians turn up and play together, monthly art-and-music evenings and themed DJ nights. The courtyard setting, under trees rather than a roof, makes it most comfortable from October to February; in the monsoon, check whether a gig has moved or been rescheduled.
