About Kalakriti Art Gallery
Kalakriti Art Gallery on Road No. 10, Banjara Hills, is one of Hyderabad's longest-running private galleries for modern and contemporary Indian art. It shows painting, sculpture, printmaking and photography by established names and by younger artists from Telangana and beyond, in solo and group exhibitions that change every few weeks. The gallery is also known for its interest in old maps and historical photographs of the Deccan, which appear in special shows. Openings are usually free evening events where visitors can meet the artist, and the gallery hosts walkthroughs, talks and book launches. Entry to exhibitions is free. The lanes around it hold several other galleries and design stores, which makes for an easy afternoon of gallery-hopping.
